WISD MISSION STATEMENT
By providing each student with a quality education second to none, Wharton Independent School District, in cooperation with it's culturally and economically diverse community will produce graduates possessing the unquenchable desire for life long learning, capable of pursuing their ambitions, and prepared to seize challenges of tomorrow.
WJH MISSION STATEMENT
Within a safe, healthy environment, Wharton Junior High School will provide each student a basic core knowledge; expose them to, and provide a means of evaluating new ideas and technologies; foster a desire to learn continuously; and begin preparing them to function effectively in the adult world as productive citizens.
At Wharton Junior High School, we have a variety of programs and activities designed to meet the needs of our students. Among these are the following:

6. UIL Academic Competition
7. Fine Arts/Elective Programs - Art, Band, Choir Computer Literacy, Keyboarding and Theatre

9. Activity Programs - Chess Club, Guitar Lessons, STOMP, Intramurals, Lab Rats, Newsletter/Yearbook,
Our main office is open from 7:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. each school day.
