Wharton ISD faculty and staff use the CSCOPE curriculum. With CSCOPE our teachers are participating in training to differintiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Over 100 Wharton ISD teachers received their GT certification this summer. Our goal is to teach every child as if they are Gifted and Talented.
Rigor, Relevance, Differentiation, Efficacy, Advocacy and Relationships are key words that will be a part of our mission this year.
Rigor: High expectations and quality instruction for all students.
Relevance: Instruction is delivered to students in a way that they can relate to the content matter.
Differentiation: Instruction is taught in a way that meets the needs of all students.
Efficacy: All teachers believe all students have the ability to learn. All teachers believe they have the capability to meet the needs of all students.
Advocacy: Wharton Independent School District is the best school district in South Texas and we are constantly evaluating our programs to offer the best instruction for the youth of our district.
Relationships: We love our parents and encourage them to visit our schools and participate in as many school activities as possible.
